So what if they revealed it to everyone at once. We dont even know the timeline that Nintendo has. IF they completed the creation of this Motion Plus adapter, let’s say, back in January, and they are now announcing it to the public and the devs, then I would tick me a little, but I have a feeling that this thing JUST got completed a few days before E3 meaning that the could have sent a warning to developers via email or whatever, but to send out too much information before they even know if it is something to move forward with, would be the wrong decision. Have faith in Nintendo. They are the most quality focused product pusher out there and they will announce things on their clock.

So, what is the GameInformer’s timeline?

What I don’t get about the original guy’s complaint is that he says we “won’t see anything for 6-9 months”, but the dang thing won’t be out until 6-9 months anyway. Am I missing something?

@jack
You make a good point. Wii Sports Resort and MotionPlus aren’t coming out until the spring. But clearly the developers talking to GI would have liked to have already had at least a portion of the time with the controller that Nintendo’s own developers have had. Reasonable? I’m not a developer, so I can’t say.

“But clearly the developers talking to GI would have liked to have already had at least a portion of the time with the controller that Nintendo’s own developers have had. Reasonable?”
It seems likely that Nintendo’s devs were working on the MotionPlus at the same time they developed software to basically test out the accessory.
So you can’t really blame Ninty for having developed a game or two while working on the MotionPlus. Because the games produced were a direct result of the development of said accessory.
Besides, those third party devs get no sympathy from most Wii users. They were all late in supporting the Wii before launch time. Didn’t believe in it. And then they eventually supported it with craptacular games where the Wiimote was used mostly as a tacked-on device. So let them biotch all they want. If they had made good/imaginative use of the Wiimote maybe they would’ve had a leg to stand on. But most of them didn’t. And now they want to cash in on the MotionPlus to use it with more mini-games.
I wish that Reggie had said this to those third party crybabies:
“When those losers actually get their AAA teams working on Wii games, I’ll care about their bitching. But until then… get bent”.
LOL, it will never happen but we can dream can’t we? :p

Don’t forget it’s (also) going to take many more months for the product to get into the hands of millions of consumers.
I think developers have plenty of time to ready games using the MotionPlus for Holiday 2k9. It’s not like alot of these 3rd parties have given us AAA Wii games anyway.
